VCTF-Megastructure_SE
Description/Features:
Vehicle Capture The Flag map set in surreal tangle of oversized architecture and machinery. The map was designed to give the impression of vast spaces that continue on far beyond the playable area, and an atmosphere of industrial construction gone out of control. The original concept was inspired by the art of Tsutomu Nihei.
Notes:
- Megastructure was awarded 1st place for Best VCTF Level in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 1.

DM-SteamTemple
Description/Features:
Expansive Deathmatch map set in a church-styled environment with a steampunk theme. My goal was to decorate the level with as many moving parts as reasonably possible so that players would feel like they were inside an active machine, and the constant sound and motion would add to the excitement of combat.
A unique feature of the map is a large contraption towards the centre which comes to life every 90 seconds and, after a warning alarm, spits out a random powerup.
Notes:
- Received 1st place for Best Deathmatch level and 4th place for Best Graphics in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 2.
- Finalist in the 3DBuzz Old School contest (beta version).

DM-Shrine
Description/Features:
Close-quarters Deathmatch map set in a Necris ruin perched atop a large spire of rock. Shrine was my first finished map for Unreal Tournament 3, and was designed as a small map that I could complete and polish without getting too in-depth as I familiarized myself with the new tools.
Notes:
- Finalist in the Best DM Level category in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 1.
- DM-Shrine was selected by Epic Games to be the first user-created map made available for the PS3 version of the game.

DM-Downpour
Description/Features:
Atmospheric Deathmatch map set in an abandoned city which has been subjected to endless rain and flooding. Downpour lets players traverse sodden city streets, high rooftops, and a few crumbling interiors. The numerous high vantage points make it an ideal training ground for snipers.
Notes:
- Received an honorable mention in the Best DM Map category in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 1.

WAR-Flare
Description/Features:
Frantic and fast-paced Warfare map set on the underside of a giant space colony. Long-range jump pads hurl players across wide gaps and let them land right in the middle of the action, while Raptor pilots must adapt to flying through the expansive space below the level rather than high above it. Jump boots are also readily available for reaching a variety of shortcuts and hidden routes.

- Received 1st place for Best Warfare Level in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 2 (beta version).

The Ball
Description/Features:
The Ball is a single player mod for Unreal Tournament 3 created by Hourences, featuring puzzle-based gameplay and atmospheric environments reminiscent of the first Unreal game. I joined the Ball team as a level designer for the second installment of the mod and created most of the second Oztoc level, and am currently continuing to work on the third installment called Teotl. My contribution to the mod so far has included environmental design, puzzle design and Kismet scripting, and a range of basic static meshes.
Notes:
- The Ball Part 1 was awarded 1st place for Best Gametype and Best Use of Physics in the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 1.
- Awarded 1st place a second time for Best Use of Physics and 3rd place for Best Mod in Phase 2.
- Also received honorable mentions in the Best Graphics and Best Character categories.
